Colleen Fisk is the Energy Education Director for Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP). In that role, she works with K-12 teachers to implement energy efficiency and clean energy lessons in the classroom, and support student-led hands-on projects throughout the state. Over the past five years at REAP, she has presented to thousands of students and trained hundreds of teachers. She has shared her work at state and national conferences and collaborated with educators across North America to increase climate and energy literacy, especially for underserved and remote communities. Colleen grew up on a small farm in Alaska where her parents instilled in her a love of science and the Earth. Her post-secondary education includes a B.S. in Animal Science, a M.Ed in Education, and an Occupational Endorsement in Sustainable Energy. With this experience and education, Colleen considers sustainability of energy, food, and water systems inseparably connected and critical for all societies’ climate resilience.
